About the estate
The Weingut Mößner-Burtsche estate is managed by Eva Burtsche and Tobias Burtsche, who took over the family farm from Eva's parents in 2009. The vineyards in Baden are predominantly characterized by weathered shell limestone, loess, and clay soils, offering ideal conditions for cultivating the Pinot family. The estate practices close-to-nature farming, refraining from herbicides and utilizing mechanical under-vine cultivation alongside flowering cover crops to promote soil life. For their top wines, older vineyards are managed using spur pruning to better balance climatic extremes. In the cellar, the physiologically ripe grapes are processed gently and the wines are aged on the fine lees until shortly before bottling.
The eno directory lists 8 wines, mostly from Pinot and Pinot Gris.
