About the estate

The Weingut Graf Wolff Metternich estate in Durbach looks back on a history dating back to 1180 with the Schloss Grohl fiefdom and the noble Zorn von Bulach family. In 1830, Ernst Maximilian Freiherr Zorn von Bulach expanded the grape variety range and introduced Sauvignon Blanc. The estate was taken over in 1936 by Reichsgräfin Wolff Metternich zur Gracht and remained in family ownership until 1995. New owner Gertraud Hurrle took over the winery in 1995, restored the old buildings, invested in modern cellar technology, and restructured the vineyard areas. Today, the estate cultivates 25 hectares of vineyards across five wine estates.

The eno directory lists 30 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Riesling.
