About the estate

The Volz winery is a small estate located in Meersburg on Lake Constance, producing characterful and handmade wines. The focus is on the grape varieties Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Müller-Thurgau, which grow on classic moraine weathered soils at altitudes between 390 and 460 meters. The grapes originate exclusively from Meersburg single vineyard sites such as Chorherrenhalde and are harvested at low yields averaging around 50 liters per ar. Cultivation is carried out close to nature and consistently without the use of herbicides or mineral fertilizers. The cool microclimate and stony subsoil shape wines with a distinct and edgy profile.
