About the estate
The family-run Torchio Piero estate in San Damiano d'Asti in Piedmont dates back to 1948, when the business was founded following the division between three brothers. Grandfather Pietro began cultivating the vineyards and breeding Piedmontese cattle, thereby passing on his passion for the land to his children. During the 1970s and 1980s, Giuseppe continued the activity alongside his son Piero and later Gianmario, before a new winery was inaugurated in 1997. Following further generational involvement and recent vineyard expansions, the estate produces its wines from traditional vineyards in Piedmont under appellations such as Barbera d'Asti DOCG and Terre Alfieri DOCG.
