About the estate

The Tauchner family winery is located in Weinzierl near Krems an der Donau in the Kremstal wine region. The estate is run by the Tauchner family, which includes manager Walter Tauchner alongside Barbara, Magdalena, and Herta. In vineyard management, the estate has dispensed with glyphosate for years, allowing a herb-rich cover crop to provide food and shelter for numerous organisms. Additionally, the slopes and terraces are maintained by hand, and border rows are mulched with estate-produced straw to reduce evaporation. Interested visitors have the opportunity to purchase and taste the assortment during regular direct-to-consumer sales hours.

The eno directory lists 23 wines, mostly from Riesling and Grüner Veltliner. The estate sells to retail.
