About the estate

The SeywaldWein winery is located in Ballrechten-Dottingen in the Baden wine region and looks back on a long family tradition in agriculture. The vineyards at the Castellberg have been farmed organically since the 1990s with a strong focus on biodiversity. The estate's portfolio features regional grape varieties such as Gutedel, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand, followed by artisanal and spontaneous fermentation in the old vaulted cellar. The winemaking process relies on simple techniques and maturation mostly in used barriques.
