About the estate

The Palácio da Brejoeira estate in Monção within the Vinho Verde region cultivates 18 hectares of vineyards. The origins of the property date back to a neoclassical building constructed in the early nineteenth century, which subsequently changed ownership multiple times and underwent extensive restoration work. Following the restructuring of the property by Maria Hermínia Silva d’Oliveira Paes, the targeted planting and commercialization of the Alvarinho grape variety began in the 1960s. In 1976, the brand known today was officially launched and has since been vinified in a modern winery on-site. The estate produces wines that reflect the typical character of the Vinho Verde DOC denomination.
