About the estate
The Quinta da Raza estate is located in Celorico de Basto and looks back on a centuries-old family history, now managed in the eighth generation by Diogo Teixeira Coelho. The vineyards are situated on gentle slopes with granitic and clay-schist soils in the Vinho Verde region, crossed by the Tâmega river. The grape variety portfolio includes Azal, Arinto, Avesso, Alvarinho, Vinhão, and Touriga Nacional, among others. Since 2008, his wife Mafalda has also been part of the winery, overseeing the export market. The estate combines its historical heritage with a strong dedication to expressing the unique attributes of the region.
The eno directory lists 22 wines, mostly from Alvarinho and Avesso. The estate sells to retail, distributors and importers.
