About the estate

The Quinta da Lixa estate was founded in 1986 by the Meireles family and specializes in the production of Vinho Verde. The winery cultivates 120 hectares of vineyards distributed across several properties, including Quinta da Lixa and Quinta de Sanguinhedo. The vineyard soils are granitic with touches of schist, providing ideal conditions for grape varieties such as Loureiro, Alvarinho, Avesso, and Vinhão. The portfolio features classic Vinho Verde alongside various varietal wines and sparkling wines. Farming is conducted using sustainable methods designed to respect the ecosystem and preserve local biodiversity.
