About the estate
The Quintas de Melgaço enterprise was established in 1990 following an initiative by founder Amadeu Abílio Lopes. The company brings together numerous small and medium-sized winegrowers from the area to jointly promote the potential of the local Alvarinho grape. This cooperative approach aims to introduce the production from the Vinho Verde DOC denomination to the international market. The portfolio includes sparkling wines and special bottlings dedicated to the memory of the founder.
