About the estate

The Maison Cap winery, based in Ligerz on Lake Biel, was founded in 2021 by winemakers Morgane Page and Yannick Allemand. The vineyards extend across the sunny slopes of Lake Biel and the alpine steep slopes of Fully in Valais. These distinct regions feature clay-limestone as well as granite and schist soils, providing ideal conditions for grape varieties such as Chasselas, Pinot Noir, Petite Arvine, and Completer. The estate farms its vineyards according to biological practices and favors natural fermentations with indigenous yeasts in the cellar. The portfolio reflects the unique character and typicality of both regions under the Bern and Lake Biel appellations.
