La Masera

About the estate

The La Masera estate was founded in 2005 by five friends in Piverone in northern Piedmont and has been led by Michele Bardus since 2024. The vineyards are spread across the hills of the Ivrea morainic amphitheater within the municipalities of Settimo Rottaro, Piverone, and Viverone. The focus of production lies on the native Erbaluce grape variety, alongside other regional varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, Freisa, Vespolina, and Neretto. The name of the winery derives from the traditional dry-stone walls that support the terraced vineyards of the area. The wines are crafted in harmony with local tradition and are marketed under appellations including Erbaluce di Caluso and Canavese.

The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Erbaluce and Barbera. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
