About the estate
The Cantina della Serra was founded in 1953 by about a hundred members from Piverone and neighboring villages on the southern slope of the Serra morainic hill. Following the completion of construction, the winery carried out its first vinification in 1954. Today, the cooperative comprises around 230 members spread across 18 municipalities of the morainic territory with a significant annual grape delivery. The production includes red wines such as Barbera and Nebbiolo for the Canavese DOC as well as fresh white wines from the Erbaluce variety cultivated using the Pergola Canavesana system.
The eno directory lists 36 wines, mostly from Erbaluce and Barbera.
