About the estate
The La Fornace estate is a small family-run winery located in Montalcino in Tuscany, with origins dating back to 1964. The vineyards cover a surface area of approximately seven hectares on the northeastern slope of the Montalcino hill. On sandy soils with clay presence, both younger and older vines are cultivated to produce Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino. Vineyard management and the entire grape harvest are carried out meticulously by hand by the family and qualified workers. Vinification takes place in a semi-submerged cellar where fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats followed by aging in wooden barrels.

Il primo anno di produzione di origini è il 2012 e nasce dalla voglia di riscoprire il gusto del brunello di un tempo, infatti vien vinificato senza controlli della temperatura, con un 10% di uva intera.
