About the estate

The Villa Poggio Salvi estate in Montalcino was founded in 1979 by Pierluigi Tagliabue and is managed today together with his nephew and winemaker Luca Belingardi. The vineyards cover 21 hectares and are entirely planted with Sangiovese Grosso. The operation is complemented by the Tenuta Casavecchia in the Chianti region, acquired in 1998. In production, the winery combines traditional wines with modern methods and relies on aging in large oak casks. The portfolio includes Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Colli Senesi, and Rosso di Montalcino, among others.

The eno directory lists 11 wines, mostly from Sangiovese and Merlot.
