About the estate
The Jeck estate, located in Zeiningen in German-speaking Switzerland, is managed by the family in the third generation following the takeover of the farm by Käthi and Marcel Jeck in 1981. A total of 1.7 hectares of vineyards with skeletal and humus-rich clay soils are planted with the grape varieties Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Chardonnay, and Riesling Silvaner. Viticulture is practiced in harmony with nature and entirely without the use of herbicides, supplemented by strict yield reduction and gentle hand harvesting. Professional vinification takes place in cooperation with an oenologist team in a modern winery, where white wines are aged in stainless steel tanks and red wines partly in large wooden barrels.
The eno directory lists 8 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Müller-Thurgau.
