About the estate
The organic Swiss winery Gschwind Weinbau in the Leimental valley was founded in 1986 by Claudia and Stephan Gschwind and has been managed by David Gschwind since 2017. On just over two hectares of vineyards located in the Aescher Klus and the Therwil vineyard garden, 16 different grape varieties thrive, with a large proportion consisting of fungus-resistant varieties. Vinification takes place in the estate's own cellar without unnecessary fining or major interventions in order to preserve the natural characteristics of the wines. In addition to viticulture, the estate manages forests, pastureland with high-stem fruit trees, and beehives in accordance with Bio Suisse guidelines. The wines are marketed directly from the winery.
