About the estate

The Giró del Gorner estate looks back on a long agricultural and winemaking tradition in Catalonia dating back to the sixteenth century. The traditional Catalan farmhouse has been inhabited and cultivated by the Giró family for generations, overcoming historical challenges such as the phylloxera plague before eventually dedicating the property exclusively to viticulture. Today, family members manage the operations, combining traditional knowledge passed down through generations with modern cellar technologies including temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The philosophy centers on environmental respect and the combination of tradition and innovation to produce regional wines and sparkling wines under the Penedès and Cava denominations. Preserving the historical heritage and letting nature guide the expression of the grapes form the core of the estate's work.
