Domaine Le Fort

About the estate

The family-run Domaine Le Fort estate is located near the ramparts of Carcassonne as the westernmost vineyard of Languedoc within the Malepère terroir. The property spans over 35 hectares of south-facing clay-limestone slopes and cultivates thirteen different grape varieties for red and white wines. Since 1995, the estate has been revitalized by the new generation, who entirely replanted the vineyards starting in 1998 and modernized the cellar facilities. Vineyard management follows sustainable practices with manual foliage care and yield limitation. In the cellar, the wines are aged in stainless steel vats or oak barrels and bottled on-site.
