Domaine des Soulanes

About the estate

The Domaine des Soulanes estate was established in 2002 in the municipality of Tautavel within the Maury production area. Its name originates from a geographical term designating a south-southeast facing hillside surrounded by garrigue and the cliffs of the Château de Quéribus. Spanning 17 hectares, the vineyards are exclusively planted with Mediterranean grape varieties including Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. Organic farming methods and deep ploughing are applied on metamorphic schist, sedimentary marl, clay, and limestone soils. The harvest is carried out entirely by hand using crates, followed by traditional vinification in small vats.
