Domaine des Balisiers

About the estate

The Domaine des Balisiers estate was founded in 1982 and manages 46 hectares of vineyards in the canton of Geneva. Known as a pioneer in organic farming, the estate has applied biodynamic principles since 2005 and holds Demeter certification. The vineyards feature an original open-lyre training system that doubles the exposure of the vines to sunlight to enhance the ripening process. Harvesting is conducted entirely by hand following meticulous ripeness analyses to ensure optimal grape quality. In the cellar, winemaking combines traditional pressing methods with maturation in amphorae and wooden barrels.
