About the estate
The Cupano estate is located in Montalcino in Tuscany and was founded in 1994 by Ornella Tondini and Lionel Cousin. Out of 35 hectares of organically farmed land, 6.4 hectares are dedicated to vineyards situated on a stony hill with sandy clay and large cobblestones. The vineyards are primarily planted with Sangiovese for Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino, alongside international grape varieties. The estate follows biodynamic principles, meticulous vineyard care and a traditional winemaking approach. The production focuses on crafting age-worthy wines characterized by elegance and complexity in a French style.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Sangiovese and Merlot.
