About the estate
In the spring of 2024, Helena Hebing, Noel Urwyler, and Thomas Wehrlin founded the Clos Vert winery on Lake Biel. The estate manages 14 vineyard parcels covering a total area of 2.3 hectares on steep slopes situated between La Neuveville and Biel. Farming is conducted organically using biodynamic preparations, teas, and extracts, alongside meticulous manual labor in the vineyards. The primary grape varieties cultivated are Chasselas and Pinot noir, alongside Syrah, Chardonnay, Cabernet blanc, and Sylvaner. In the cellar, the team relies on spontaneous fermentation, gentle aging on the fine lees in steel tanks or oak barrels, and unfiltered bottling.
