About the estate
The Chateau la Font des Ormes estate is located in Caux in the Languedoc-Roussillon region and is run by Guy Cazalis de Fondouce alongside oenologist Mireille Fabre. The vineyards thrive on soils composed of Miocene limestone as well as volcanic basalt from a flow of the Baumes volcano. The winery operates under certified organic and biodynamic practices with manual harvesting. The grape variety portfolio includes Syrah, Grenache noir, Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Terret Bourret, among others. In addition to wines from the AOC Languedoc Pézenas and Pays d'Hérault appellations, the estate also produces olive oil.
The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Syrah and Mourvèdre. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
