About the estate

The estate Château La Bastide Rougepeyre is located in Pennautier in the Languedoc-Roussillon region at the foot of the Montagne Noire and was founded in the year 1209. The vineyards grow on argilo-calcaire soils under the HVE certification. Fermentation takes place in concrete vats, followed by ageing in oak barrels for selected cuvées. The winery is listed in the Vignerons Indépendants de France directory. The portfolio features wines under the AOC Cabardès and IGP Pays d'Oc denominations as well as single-varietal expressions of Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Malbec, Grenache, and Cabernet franc. Production includes red and white wines from vines with an average age of 35 years. Commercial distribution is handled via direct sales.
