Domaine de Jouclary

About the estate

The Domaine de Jouclary winery is located in Conques sur Orbiel in the Languedoc region and traces its history back to 1532, before Robert Gianesini acquired the property in 1969 and was joined by his son Pascal in 1990. The estate comprises 60 hectares of vineyards situated on the foothills of the Black Mountain near Carcassonne, divided between the AOP Cabardès and IGP Oc denominations. The transitional climate with both Mediterranean and oceanic influences offers ideal conditions for grape varieties such as Merlot, Syrah, and Grenache. Harvesting for the noble varieties takes place early in the morning, followed by gentle vinification in traditional concrete tanks.
