About the estate

Château de Rouffiac is located in the south-west of France within the Cahors wine region, cultivating vineyards in the Occitanie region across the municipalities of Duravel and Puy-l'Évêque. The estate's vineyards extend across various altitudes in the Lot Valley, ranging from the plateau and multiple terrace levels down near the river. The winery follows a regenerative viticulture approach and cultivates Malbec, which on the sandy-silt soils of the first terrace is typically used for rosé wines. Depending on the specific plot, the soils consist of iron-rich siderolithic clay and limestone, clay-limestone formations, and sandy-silt alluvial deposits. The estate produces wines under the AOC Cahors and IGP Côtes du Lot denominations.
