About the estate
The Cava d’Onice estate is family-run and located in Montalcino in Tuscany. In the early 1980s, the father acquired the Colombaio farm with a small vineyard, which was later registered for the production of Brunello di Montalcino. In 2005, production expanded with the name Cava d’Onice, referring to an Etruscan onyx quarry. The vineyards are distributed across the Montalcino area and are planted with the Sangiovese grape variety. The winery produces wines such as Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, and Toscana IGT.
