About the estate
The CASTELLO DI VERDUNO s.s.a. winery looks back on a long history that began in the early sixteenth century with the construction of the current castle by the Cerrato family, later connecting with the House of Savoy and the Burlotto and Bianco families. Today, the estate is owned by Gabriella Burlotto and Franco Bianco, who manage the operations together with their family members. The vineyards extend across the hills of Verduno and Barbaresco and include the area's first single-variety Pelaverga vineyard. The production relies on traditional methods featuring open-vat fermentation and extended ageing in large oak casks. The portfolio showcases prominent regional wines such as Barolo, Barbaresco, and Langhe wines.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Nebbiolo and Barbera.
