About the estate
The BioWeingut Schaffner estate, located in Bötzingen in the Baden wine region, was founded in 1991 by Thomas Schaffner, who took over his parents' operations and transitioned to self-marketing. Since 1995, the family-run estate has operated according to organic viticulture guidelines. The cultivated area now covers eight hectares, where wines, spirits, sparkling wine, and Secco are produced through meticulous manual labor and gentle cellar management. In addition to direct wine sales, the winery also offers vineyard tours combined with tastings.
The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Pinot Gris and Müller-Thurgau. The estate sells to retail.
