About the estate
The Wess estate was taken over and restructured in 2023 by winemaker David Juen. He cultivates steep vineyards in the Kremstal region, such as Ried Pfaffenberg and Ried Loibenberg, which feature diverse soils ranging from loess to primary rock with slate components. These sites are planted with the grape varieties Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. To fulfill the quality standards, the wines receive an extended period of barrel maturation before being distributed internationally.
