About the estate

The Weingut Wonnegauer Hof estate is located in Gundheim, Rhenish Hesse, and is managed in the second generation by the Michel winemaker family, with family viticulture dating back to 1849. On deep loess-loam soils in south and southeast facing vineyards, the estate cultivates main grape varieties such as Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Dornfelder, complemented by numerous other varieties. Viticulture is carried out using beneficial-organism-friendly methods in their own vineyards. In the cellar, the rich grapes are processed gently using the latest technology, and the wines are matured in stainless steel vats until bottling.
