About the estate

The Steintal estate is located in Klingenberg am Main in the Franconia region between the Odenwald and Spessart, cultivating eleven hectares of vineyards. Viticulture in the listed steep terraced sites has been documented since the year 1261. Today, the winery is managed by Philipp Aufderheide after the former municipal estate was renamed in 2019. The main focus is on Pinot Noir, which accounts for ninety percent of production and grows on red sandstone across the municipalities of Klingenberg, Großheubach, and Bürgstadt. The working method comprises sustainable and organic management, low yields, one hundred percent hand-harvesting, and very gentle cellar processing with maturation in local oak barrels.
