About the estate

The Schwaab & Sohn GbR winery cultivates twelve hectares of vineyards in Erden on the Moselle and surrounding areas. Since 1990, the estate has been managed by Karin and Hermann-Josef Schwaab, who have continuously expanded it. Spread across nine grape varieties, the estate produces individual wines that reflect the character of the respective steep site. The foundation is laid by consistent vineyard management involving a high degree of manual labor in the steep slate slopes, followed by gentle processing in the cellar. The natural-oriented vinification includes controlled fermentation and extended aging on the lees.
