About the estate
The Weingut Matthias Hild estate is a small, fourth-generation family-run winery located on the southern Moselle in Wincheringen. The old vines thrive on deep-soil shell limestone, which is exclusively found in this part of the region. The primary focus lies on Elbling, Germany's oldest grape variety, complemented by Pinot varieties and Morio Muskat. The grapes for these handcrafted wines are harvested and selected by hand. In the cellar, fermentation takes place traditionally in stainless steel tanks.
