About the estate

The Martin Schömann winery cultivates vineyards along the Mosel and operates as a Demeter estate following biodynamic principles. The estate focuses on low yields, multiple harvest passes, and natural vinification featuring spontaneous fermentation and lees aging. The finest wines mature in the dripstone vaulted cellar and achieve their full ripeness through extended storage. Alongside traditional cellar practices, new approaches such as the use of machinery in vertical shoot positioning are also incorporated.
