About the estate
The traditional Bernhard Werner estate cultivates six hectares of vineyards along the Mosel, with half of the area located in steep slopes exclusively planted with Riesling. The holdings include parcels with vines that are partially one hundred years old. The winery focuses on near-natural vineyard management, intensive care of the steep slopes, low yields, and consistent selection during harvest. In the cellar, grapes and must are processed gently, and fermentation takes place predominantly in traditional Fuder casks using natural yeasts. The portfolio features mineral, powerful, and fruit-driven Rieslings from renowned sites such as Schweicher Annaberg, Leiwener Laurentiuslay, Leiwener Klostergarten, and Trittenheimer Apotheke.
The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir.
