About the estate

The organic winery Weingut Bäcker has been pioneering organic viticulture along the Ahr since 1990 and has been a member of the ECOVIN association ever since. Across 2.5 hectares of vineyards, traditional varieties such as Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Müller-Thurgau are cultivated, alongside the regional specialty Early Burgundy. The majority of the vineyards are located in steep slopes, requiring extensive manual labor for cultivation. In the cellar, the estate follows a minimalistic approach to preserve the natural character of the grapes through a simple vinification process without unnecessary additives. All wines are produced without animal proteins and are suitable for vegans.
