About the estate

The Winzergenossenschaft Mayschoß - Altenahr e.G. is considered the oldest wine cooperative in the world and was founded in Mayschoß in 1868. Today, the community, which also includes the cooperative from Altenahr and the Walporzheim wine manufactory, cultivates a vineyard area of approximately 140 hectares throughout the Ahr Valley. The cellar team primarily vinifies Spätburgunder, Frühburgunder, and Riesling, which are categorized into different quality lines ranging from the basis to the top tier. All wines are crafted with great care and professional expertise in the cellar. Several estate-owned wine shops along the Ahr present the assortment.
