With a history dating back to 1874, the Dagernova Ahr Weinmanufaktur / Vinothek in Dernau operates as a winegrowers' cooperative rooted in the Ahr region for six generations. The extreme steep slopes with their slate terraces make machine work largely impossible, requiring manual vineyard management and selective harvesting by hand.
