About the estate

The Rückershäuser winery, located in Rheinhessen, was founded in 1952 as a mixed agricultural operation by grandfather Karl and taken over by father Franz-Josef in 1974, before being continued in the third generation by son Peter. The grapes ripen on limestone soils on the hills surrounding Gau-Algesheim. By matching the grape varieties to this soil composition, characterful wines and sparkling wines are produced. In the wine cellar, work is guided by the principle that less is more, with slow fermentation and careful handling focusing on preserving the fruit and character of the grape.
