About the estate

The Vinařství Pavel Chorouš was founded in 1999 by Pavel Chorouš, who initially vinified purchased grapes before establishing his own vineyards. The vineyards are located in the Turbovická site in the Czech wine region of Bohemia on opuka marl soils. The grape variety portfolio includes Dornfelder, Hibernal, Merlot, Müller Thurgau, Muškát moravský, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Early Red Veltliner, Gewürztraminer, Solaris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Gris. The south-west facing vineyards provide ideal conditions for grape maturation. In the cellar, the focus is on producing wines that reflect the terroir of the local hills.
