About the estate

The Uccelliera estate is located in Montalcino, Tuscany, and is managed by agricultural entrepreneur Andrea Cortonesi. The winery cultivates ten hectares of vineyards situated in the Castelnuovo dell’Abate area, which are almost entirely dedicated to Sangiovese vines ranging from five to forty-five years in age. The soils are predominantly clayey and sandy with a strong presence of loose skeleton, located at altitudes of approximately 150 to 350 meters above sea level. Agricultural practices follow sustainable principles and rely on careful manual work in the vineyards to maintain vegetative balance and achieve optimal grape maturity. The production includes wines under the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, and Toscana IGT denominations.
