About the estate

The Schlössli Ruff estate, built in 1682, is located in Twann and has been owned by the Ruff family since the early years of the last century. Four generations have run the business, which focuses on viticulture, a distillery, and traditional sausages, and is now solely operated by Stephan Ruff. The estate spans three hectares across five plots in Ligerz and Twann-Tüscherz featuring deep, clayey, calcareous, and sandy-gravelly soils. These diverse soil compositions allow the master winemaker and oenologist to cultivate numerous grape varieties. The estate's wines fall under the AOC Bern and AOC Bielersee denominations.
