About the estate
The Swiss family estate Schafiser-Weine, Patrick Cosandier has been cultivating vineyards at the southern foot of the Jura Mountains and along the shores of Lake Biel in the sixth generation since 1827. The steep vineyard sites require labor-intensive manual work for the care of each individual vine. The mild local climate fosters the growth of grape varieties for white wines, red wines, Œil de Perdrix, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Barrique, and Diolinoir. The family oversees all production steps from planting to personal vinification in their own cellar.
