About the estate
The family-run Schaffner Vins Cave de Publoz estate was established in the 1930s by Hans Schaffner and is managed today by Jean-Christophe. The steep, south-facing vineyards face the lake in the Lavaux region and are distributed across the St-Saphorin, Chardonne, and Vevey appellations. The vineyards are not mechanized, meaning all work is carried out manually. The winery exclusively vinifies appellation wines from its various local sites. The grape harvest is traditionally conducted by the family with the help of friends to ensure each grape variety is picked at the optimal time.
