About the estate
The Scagliola Giacomo estate is located in Canelli in Piedmont, rooted in a tradition-rich territory between the Langhe and Monferrato hills recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The vineyards are situated in sunny, hilly areas characterised by steep, whitish calcareous marl soils as well as softer sandy limestone conglomerate soils. Cultivated grape varieties and denominations include Moscato Bianco di Canelli for Moscato d’Asti DOCG, Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Alta Langa DOCG, alongside Langhe DOC, Monferrato DOC, and Piemonte DOC wines. Harvesting is conducted exclusively by hand to preserve the grape bunches and their characteristic aromas. Furthermore, the winery participates in regional rural development measures promoting integrated pest management and sustainable farming practices.
