About the estate
The SaarWeinGut Peter Burens estate was founded on the Saar in 2015 and adopts the concept of garage wineries. Cultivating a vineyard area of two hectares, the estate manages steep sites on warm slate soils. The cultivation focuses entirely on Riesling, featuring vines up to one hundred years old. Vineyard management is carried out exclusively by hand, and the grapes are sorted by quality during harvest. In the cellar of the ancestral house in Saarburg, the wines are processed gently and undergo spontaneous fermentation.
The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Gris.
