About the estate
The Ratzenberger estate in Bacharach in the Middle Rhine region is run by the family in the third generation and currently cultivates 20 hectares of vineyards. Founded in the late 1950s, the winery traditionally focuses on Riesling as well as fine Pinot varieties. Since 1987, the estate has additionally been producing sparkling wine. Well-known vineyard sites include Steeger St. Jost, Bacharacher Wolfshöhle, Schloss Fürstenberg, and Bacharacher Kloster Fürstental. The work in the vineyards is based on a close-to-nature approach featuring gentle cultivation and yield reduction.
