About the estate
The Podere Capaccia estate is located in Radda in Chianti, Tuscany, and has a rich history dating back to the 13th century. Since acquiring the property in 2010, Herman De Bode has focused on meticulous vineyard management and the production of wines under the Chianti Classico DOCG and Toscana IGT denominations. The vineyards benefit from a high altitude, steep slopes, and deep roots that allow the grapes to mature gracefully despite changing climatic conditions. The estate is currently transitioning to organic farming, combining traditional methods with modern cellar technology. In the state-of-the-art cellar, grapes undergo strict sorting before temperature-controlled fermentation and slow aging in the underground barrel room.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Sangiovese.
